Group Description
Corporate Real Estate Finance is accountable for managing financial information, ensuring a sound control environment, measuring performance, providing value-added analyses and metrics, and clearly presenting ideas to senior management within Corporate Real Estate and to the six lines of businesses. The team is responsible for planning & analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and occupancy allocations & monthly reporting.
Position Summary
This role has significant financial responsibilities, such as budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting, coupled with several project initiatives, such as system and process reviews. The role encompasses managing a small team of 1-3 people. The position requires frequent interaction with the U.S.-based CRE Finance team. Specific tasks include:
Budget Management, Cost Control, Financial Reporting and Analysis:
· Provide Facility & Asset Managers with Expense Management Reports to view/analyze costs
- Play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the deliverables
· Ensure all standard monthly close and reporting processes are complete including:
· Provide monthly Outlook/Plan Uploads for Depreciation, Rent, Escalation Lines, Sublet Income, Discretionary Spend, Headcount and Salaries.
· Performing Occupancy Allocation and Workforce Allocation
· Reconcile headcount movements and full-year outlook
· Compile and upload outlook into Essbase (system of record)
· Highlight any risks and opportunities contained in and in addition to the outlook
· Track productivity achieved and reconcile future actions with outlook
· Budgeting on an annual basis, ensuring agreed positions are uploaded on behalf of the business with related analysis available for reporting purposes, in a timely fashion.
· Extraction and mining of data reports from various source systems
Project Financial Management:
- Review and improve on productivity benchmarks on ongoing basis
- To liaison / front-ending with the onshore partners to understand the business drivers
Strategic & Business Partnering:
- Creating decks and reports for senior management
- Understanding the key functions & responsibilities of the various groups involved within every stage of the CRE business, namely the Finance, Accounting & Lease Administration groups
- Performing all BAU & adhoc activities expediently and at a very high level of quality
- Contribute towards ongoing business projects and initiatives
- Support B&FM business manager by providing clear and concise reporting as required
