National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) was founded by Sir Robert McCarrison in the year 1918 as ‘Beri-Beri’ Enquiry Unit in a single room laboratory at the Pasteur Institute, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. Within a short span of seven years, this unit blossomed into a "Deficiency Disease Enquiry" and later in 1928, emerged as full-fledged "Nutrition Research Laboratories" (NRL) with Dr. McCarrison as its first Director. It was shifted to Hyderabad in 1958.
Job Description:
Name of the Project : “J. C. Bose Fellowship” funded by DST
1. Applicant should be well versed with mammalian cell culture techniques. Flow-cytometric methods and general biochemical methods.
Candidate Profile:
Education:
1. M.Sc. in Life science related fields with minimum of Five years of research experience.
Emoluments : The selected candidates will draw consolidated emoluments as per Institute Rules, depending upon qualifications & experience Rs. 22,000/- p.m. plus 30% HRA to Rs. 24,000/-p.m. plus 30% HRA (as applicable)
WALK IN INTERVIEW ON : 21st April, 2015 at 4.00 PM
