Punjab Government to hold 4th Mega Job Fair, Events scheduled at 82 places from 30th September
Punjab Government will hold the 4th Mega Job Fair in the state from 9th September 2019 onwards, as per the official press release. The media release said that Capt Amrinder Singh Government has planned several events across the state as part of the Mega Job Fair under which events scheduled to take place at over 82 places in the state. As part of the Job Fair, around youth from Punjab will get an opportunity to fill 2,10,000 vacant job positions in private sector. Tentative estimates suggest that around 1,819 recruiters are expected to participate in the Mega Job Fair.
Key Events Planned for Job Fair
The Mega Job Fair will be kicked-off on 30th September 2019 and will continue until 30th September 2019. The Punjab Government’s 5th Mega Job Fair would see job fairs being organized in each of the districts. Sharing further details about the Mega Job Fair, Punjab Technical Education and Employment Generation Minister Charanjit Singh Channi said that events are planned at over 82 locations in the state as part of the job fair.
Divulging further details, he also added that at an event planned at ISB Mohali on 18th September 2019; the government has invited over 25+ MNCs for the placement drive. At this event, MNCs would offer over 800+ job positions with salary packages in the range of Rs 3 to Rs 9 lakh each.
CM to hand over Employment Letters
After the successful completion of the Job Fair on 30th September 2019, selected candidates will be handed over the offer letters or employment letters by Chief Minister Capt Amrinder Singh on 5th October 2019. This event is planned to take place at Ropar.
Focus on Self-Employment As well
One of the key highlights of the Mega Job Fair organized by Punjab Government is that in addition to employment with private companies, the job fair would also facilitate self-employment among the youth. The Government plans to disburse self-employment loans to around 100,000 youth as apart of the Job Fair Events.
