The journey of Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), popularly known as Pusa Institute, began in 1905 at Pusa (Bihar) with the generous grant of 30,000 pounds from an American philanthropist, Mr. Henry Phipps. The institute was then known as Agricultural Research Institute (ARI) which functioned with five departments, namely Agriculture, Cattle Breeding, Chemistry, Economic Botany and Mycology. Bacteriology unit was added in 1907.
Job Description:
1. A walk in interview will be held for the selection of one Senior Research Fellow in the DBT funded project entitled “Plant parasitic nematode genome informatics - insilico resource development”.
2. The project is for a period of six months.
Candidate Profile:
Essential qualifications for SRF:
1. M. Sc. in Bioinformatics withe xperience in Proteomics, genomics and structural biology.
2. Knowledge of programming language, pearl and database – HTML, CSS, php and Java script.
3. Two years of experience after MSc in the relevant field.
